Former Billiri Chairperson Margaret Bitrus Returns to APC, Pledges Commitment to Party's Electoral Success
Former Chairperson of Billiri Local Government Area, Hon. Margaret Bitrus, has returned to the All Progressives Congress (APC), pledging her commitment to the party’s leadership and determination to contribute to its success in the forthcoming 2027 general elections.
Hon. Bitrus announced her return during a meeting with the APC governorship candidate in Gombe State, Dr. Jamilu Isyaku Gwamna, accompanied by the Commissioner for Finance and Economic Development, Muhammad Gambo Magaji.
She assured the party of her renewed commitment to the APC-led government and its leadership, expressing readiness to work with other party stakeholders to mobilise support for Dr. Jamil Gwamna and other candidates ahead of the 2027 elections.
The APC Governorship Candidate, Dr. Gwamna welcomed Hon. Bitrus back to the party, assuring her of fair treatment and an inclusive atmosphere, as one of the party’s founding members.
Recall that Hon. Bitrus had recently defected to the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP),. before returning to the APC, where she pledged to contribute to the party’s electoral success.
